LAA YULTA PRIMARY SCHOOL

2025 Prep Enrolments

Prep Enrolments Open 15th April 2024

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Please note however, that, due to the high demand for places at Laa Yulta Primary School, we are required to manage our enrolments very carefully in order to accommodate all children who apply from within our school’s zone. Therefore, Laa Yulta Primary School is currently unable to accept enrolments from outside of our designated school zone.

    Prep Enrolment Timeline

The Department of Education has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Laa Yulta Primary School.

You can find information and resources about the enrolment timeline at: Enrolling in Prep.

    What you need to do:

    1. Your child must be 5 years of age by the 30th April 2025.
    2. From the 15th April you can contact Laa Yulta Primary School for an Expression of Interest Form.
    3. Submit your 2025 Prep Expression of Interest form by Friday 26 July 2024.
    4. You will receive a communication on the outcome of your expression of interest form by no later than Friday 9 August 2024.
    5. Parents/carers who receive a letter of offer will then need to accept that offer by 23rd August.
    6. The enrolment forms including proof of residence will then be collected by the office.

It is important to complete your child’s enrolment within these timeframes in order to participate in our information and transition sessions which will be held in Term 4, 2024. This timeline also allows us to ensure we have adequate staffing to support our children.
