LAA YULTA PRIMARY SCHOOL
Our History
Our School is one of 12 new government schools that opened in Victoria in 2024.
It is built in Mambourin and had the interim name of Black Forest East Primary School. After a consultation period where members of the general public were able to vote, Laa Yulta Primary School was the preferred name.
At the time of the build Mambourin had 1800 residents. The original intake was 175 students from Foundation to Year 6. The school buildings can accommodate 525 with plans for relocatables to be added as enrolments increase. There is a co-located Kindergarten on the same site that also opened in 2024 (Laa Yulta Primary School Kindergarten).
The founding Principal – Mark Zahra, Assistant Principal – Lori Pereira and Business Manager – Robyn Baker were employed in the year prior to the school opening (2023).
