Welcome to the Laa Yulta Primary School website. Choosing a primary school can be a daunting experience. However, at Laa Yulta PS we will make the transition from kindergarten or other primary schools to us as seamless for you and your child as possible.

Laa Yulta PS sets high academic standards and is committed to excellence in all areas. We aim to develop students who ‘Dream Big’ and set lofty goals for themselves. We want to nurture students to become critical thinkers and problem solvers; who are kind-hearted and creative, and have a lifetime love of learning.

Our school aims to empower all students to embrace the challenge in learning, achieve their personal best and build their emotional, social and physical wellbeing. We achieve this by explicitly teaching our school values – Determination, Acceptance, Respect and Excellence.

We want our students to be active citizens who are globally aware. Who understand, value and care for the environment and society we live in, and embrace the cultural diversity that makes up Australia.

Parents/carers, are part of our learning community and are a vital link in your child’s education. A sense of community evolves when parents and staff work in partnership for student achievement. We encourage active parent participation in the school through various avenues. You are welcome into the classroom as a classroom helper, and to be involved in various groups and activities.
